Paine W From hut to hut

Highlights

This trip aim is to walk through the most spectacular valleys trekking from refuge to refuge, putting special attention at the flora and fauna of the place, giving all the all the necessary time to take great pictures, we will visit Grey Valley, Frances Valley and Asencio Valley in the outside of the towers, the most beautiful and known valley of Torres del Paine.

Included:

  • All meals from day 1 to day 5, including break fast, march snack, box lunch, dinner, wine,  appetizers, board cheese and other delicious food. 
  • All land transportation: in a private van including airport pick up.
  • All water transportation: Catamaran to cross the Pehoe Lake.
  • 4 nights in a refuge and 1 night hotel in Puerto Natales.
  • Entrance to the park.        
  • Professional First aid kit, GPS, UHF Radios, handy, maps and repair kits.
  • Bilingual Guide (Spanish-English) accredited by Wilderness First Response. Wide experienced in mountaineering, trekking and trips in Patagonia.
  • Book collections about the trips which will help you to enrich the experience and increase your knowledge about the places.
  • Conversations about minimal impact, land navigation, flora and fauna. The aim is to reinforce or to obtain basic knowledge about visiting wild areas and enjoying outdoor life participation will be voluntary.

Not included:           

  • Air Trips, hotel outside of the park, land transportation inside and outside of the park, accident or rescue insurance, personal equipment, tips or any other service not mentioned in this program.

Day by Day:

  • Day 1 Airport in Punta Arenas/ Las  Torres Refuge  384 km/5 hrs. driving.
    We will gather at the meeting point and we will drive straight to the Torres del Paine National Park, we will have dinner and sleep in Las Torres refuge.

  • Day 2 Las Torres refuge/ Torres Viewpoint  17/km/ 7 hrs.  hiking
    We will get up early to leave the refuge and walk for 3 hours along the narrow Asencio valley to get to the moraine that will lead us to the towers viewpoint. We will have lunch in this extraordinary scenery and we will descend back to the refuge. Relax and enjoy the afternoon.
    Optional day 2:  Get up very early and walk during the night to reach the Towers view point by the sunrise and take the best pictures in a light and color full view of the Towers.

  • Day 3 Las Torres Refuge/ Los Cuernos Refuge 16 km/ 5 hrs hiking.
    Trek along the beautiful turquoise water of Nordenskjorld Lake and below the ganging glaciers of Almirante Nieto mount, after 5 hours walking we will arrive to the cozy Los Cuernos Refuge to have dinner and time to rest

  • Day 4 Frances Valley/Paine Grande Refuge 26 km/  8 hrs. hike.
    We will set off early and walk next to beautiful forests and lakes. Once at the hanging bridge over El Francés River we will have our first sight of the glacier, if we are lucky will see a big avalanche descending from the summit of Paine Grande mount. From this point we will climb some 300mts to have an overview of the valley and we will be able to see all the granite walls which surround it, after we having lunch we will descend back and head to Paine Grande Refuge, where we will have a big dinner to celebrate the day.

  • Day 5 Pehoe/Grey Valley/Puerto Natales 23 km/  7 hrs. hike
    We will rise early and walk for about 5 hours to get to Grey glacier lock out. On our way we will pass through forests and nice alpine lakes, we will continue walking to have amazing views of the Southern ice camp and Paine Grande, the highest mountain in the park, 3.050mts. Once we have a nice lunch on the forest next to the glacier, we will head back to Pehoe and board a Catamaran which will take us to meet our van that will drive us to Puerto Natales.
