Paine W For independent travelers

Highlights

This trip aim is to walk through the most spectacular valleys in the park, trekking from refuge to refuge, paying special attention to the flora and fauna of the place, giving all the necessary time to take great pictures, we will visit Grey Valley, Frances Valley and Asencio Valley in the lock out of the towers, the most beautiful and known valley of Torres del Paine.

  • All meals from day 1 to day 4, including breakfast, march snack, box lunch, dinner, wine,  appetizers, board cheese and other delicious food.

  • Professional First aid kit, GPS, UHF Radios, handy, maps, repair kits.
  • Bilingual Guide (Spanish-English) accredited by Wilderness First Response. Wide experienced in mountaineering, trekking and trips in Patagonia.
  • Book Collection about the trips which will help you to enrich the experience and increase your knowledge about the places.
  • Conversations about minimal impact, land navigation, flora and fauna. The aim is to reinforce or to acquire basic knowledge to visit wild areas and enjoy outdoor life. Participation will be voluntary.

Not included:           

  • Air Trips, hotel outside of the park, land transportation inside and outside of the park, accident or rescue insurance, personal equipment, tips or any other service not mentioned in this program.

Day by Day:

  • Day 1   Puerto Natales/ Torres view point/ Las Torres Refuge 17 km/ 7 hrs. Hike.
    We will gather early at the meeting point and take public transportation direct to Torres del Paine National Park; we will leave out heavy stuff on the refuge and walk for 3 hours along the narrow Asencio valley to get to the moraine that will lead us to the towers viewpoint. We will have lunch in this extraordinary scenery and descend back to the refuge to relax and enjoy the afternoon.

  • Day 2   Las Torres Refuge/ Los Cuernos Refuge 16 km/ 5 hrs Hike.
    Trek along the beautiful turquoise water of Nordenskjorld Lake and below the ganging glaciers of Almirante Nieto mount, after 5 hours walking we will arrive to the cozy Los Cuernos Refuge to have dinner and rest time.

  • Day 3   Los Cuernos Refuge/ Frances Valley/ Pehoe refuge 26 km/ 8 hrs. Hike.
    We will set off early and walk next to beautiful forests and lakes. Once at the hanging bridge over El Frances River, we will have our first sight of the glacier, if we are lucky we will see a big avalanche descending from the summit of Paine Grande mount. From this point we will climb some 300mts to have an overview of the valley, we will be able to see all the granite walls which surround it, after having lunch we will descent back and head to Pehoe Refuge to have a big dinner to celebrate the day.

  • Day 4   Pehoe / Grey Valley/Puerto Natales 23 km/ 7 hrs. Hike
    We will rise early and walk for about 5 hours to get to Grey glacier lock out. On our way we will pass through forests and nice alpine lakes, we will continue walking to have amazing views of the southern ice camp and Paine Grande, the highest mountain in the park, 3.050mts. Once we have a nice lunch on the forest next to the glacier we will head back to Pehoe and board a Catamaran which will take us to meet the bus straight to Puerto Natales.
