This two mountains are ones of the big classical on the central north of Chile. San Jose stands out for its colossal craters and Marmolejo for being the last 6000m. southern in the world, these massive mountains are located in the limit between Chile and Argentina, surrounded by beautiful valleys, big mountains, impressive glaciers. All this makes an unforgettable climbing.

- Professional First aid kit, GPS, UHF Radios, satellite phone handy, maps, repair kits.
- Ski mountain guide bilingual, certified as wilderness first response.
- A chef with a balanced diet in mind that will please the taste of the travelers and he also has some vegetarian specialties.
- A book collection about the trips which will help you to enrich this experience and increase your knowledge about the places.
- Conversations about minimal impact, land navigation, flora and fauna. The aim is to reinforce or to obtain basic knowledge about visiting wild areas and enjoying outdoor life. Participation will be voluntary.
- Mules with a local guide called ‘arriero’

Day by Day:
- Day 1 Airport / Santiago
We will welcome you at the airport and take you to a Hotel in Santiago.
- Day 2 Santiago
Free morning, checking equipment in the afternoon, and a meeting at the hotel.
- Day 3 Santiago/ Plantad Refuge
Early in the morning we will drive south from Santiago to Cajon del Maipo at the end of the road a place called Baños Morales, where mules and “arrieros” will be waiting for us to load our equipment. We will hike for about 4 hours until we reach our base camp at 3130m
- Day 4 Plantad/ Camp 1/ Plantad
Today we will carry our load to camp 1 located at 4500m. , from here we will be able too see pendant glacier. Then we will return to our base camp.
- Day 5 Plantad/Camp 1
We will move to camp 1.
- Day 6 Rest day
Resting day. This day is used for acclimatizing.
- Day 7 Camp 1- Camp 2
Today we will establish our camp 2 and prepare for an early morning summit attempt.
- Day 8 Camp 2- Summit-Plantad
After and early alpine starts we will begin our climbing to the summit. After enjoying the amazing views we will return to camp 2 and take off the camp and continue the descending to Plantad Refuge.
- Day 9 Plantad/ Marmolejo base camp
With the mules and the arrieros after 6 hours of an easy walk we will establish our base camp on Marmolejo.
- Day 10 Rest day
After a few hard working days we need to rest one.
- Day 11 Base camp-Camp 1 –base camp
Carry our load to camp 2, a moderate climbing day from around 5 hours, we will return to camp 1.
- Day 12 Base camp-Camp 1
After and early start we will move to camp 1.
- Day 13 Camp 1-Camp 2
Today we will move to camp 2 from here we will have amazing views of the route above and the surrounding Andes.
- Day 14 Summit day
After and early alpine starts we will begin our climbing to the summit, return to camp 2.
- Day 15 Extra Day
We will use this day in case of bad weather for another summit attempt.
- Day 16 Camp 2-Marmolejo Valley
Tired but happy we will take off the high camp and start the returning of our camp on Marmolejo Valley where arrieros and mules will be waiting for us.
- Day 17 Marmolejo Valley/ Santiago
Hiking down to Baños Morales we will take our car to Santiago and at night we will be ready for a good dinner in a Santiago restaurant
