Sea kayak Cochamo/Puelo 1 day

Highlights:

5 to 6 spectacular hours of sea kayak in the first stretch of the Chilean Patagonia, we will sail in the home of sea lions and Austral dolphins and as a backdrop we will have the Andes Mountain and its imposing austral summits.

We will drive to the first stretch of the austral highway which covers the Reloncavi’s estuary. We will meet little towns of fisherman and we will have beautiful sights of the Osorno, Calbuco and Yate volcanoes, without a doubt an attractive landscape which opens its road between the Andes Mountain and the Pacific Ocean which will take us to the town of Puelo where our adventure to the sea starts.

• Level of difficulty: Easy to moderated. Not previous experience needed.
• Paddling hours: 5 to 6 hours
• Place: North Patagonia, Reloncavi estuary
• Meeting point: established place in Puerto Varas.
• Dates: Every Day from November to April
• End of the trip Puerto Varas, Ensenada, Cochamo or Puelo.
• Group size: 2 to 10 people max

Include:

• All water and land transportation
• Hot chocolate, a big snack and a nice lunch next to the sea.
• Kayak with rudder and Prijon equipment (from Germany), doubles and simples, rows, faldones, row jackets, life jacket, dry bags for your equipment and camera.
• Professional First aid kit, GPS, UHF Radios, handy, maps and repair kits, cell phone, aerial pictures, awning and more.
• Bilingual Guide (Spanish-English) accredited by Wilderness First Response. Wide experienced in sea kayak, long trips to remote places.
• Book collections about the trips, which will help you to enrich the experience and increase your knowledge about the places.
• Talks about minimal impact, land navigation, flora and fauna. The aim is to reinforce or to obtain basic knowledge about visiting wild areas and enjoying outdoor life, voluntary assistance.

Not Included:

• Personal equipment , accident or rescue insurance, tips or any other service not mentioned in this program.

Personal Equipment:

• Sneakers or sandals, sunglasses, a cap, sun block, towel, swim suit, water bottle, camera and films
• When you reserve the trip, we give you a list of everything you will need to be ready for your adventure
  

Details of the trip:

Once in the town of Puelo, we will organize the equipment while we drink a lovely hot chocolate, we will enter into the sea with our kayaks, here we will have a Practise about safety, rescue and paddling techniques. Once we finish it, we will paddle for about 4 or 5 hours by the Reloncavi estuary in direction to the town of Chochamo, with amazing views to the Yate volcano and the imposing Andes Mountain. We can observe the lifestyle of the local people, if we are lucky we will meet sea lions, dolphins and a lot of birds. In our Paddeling day we will take the time to take pictures, have a nice lunch and answer all your questions about the place.
