T

his route was used 500 years ago by the Huilliche Indians that dwelled in the coasts of northern Patagonia and who were evangelized years later by the Jesuits.  The Huilliche led the Jesuits through this trail that reached the Nahuel Huapi mission, linking the Reloncavy Estuary in the Pacific Ocean with the Patagonian pampas in Argentina.

We will go deep into several valleys that are part of this mountain range, south west of Tronador Volcano. During this trip we will visit three hot springs, some beautiful lakes, cross many rivers and go through ancient cold rain forests which are in a perfect state of preservation. We will see huge trees such as Coihues, Mañios, Arrayanes (Myrtle) and ancient Alerces (Larch) which are 3,000 years old and 50 mt high, this of course along with plenty of the local flora and fauna. We will also spend some time with the settlers who live in these amazing landscapes just as their ancestors did 100 years ago.
