Day 1 Airport / San Pedro de Atacama

We will meet you at the airport and then take you to San Pedro de Atacama.

Day 2 San Pedro / Valle de la Luna / San Pedro

We will start early this day traveling around the Atacama Desert where we will have a delicious lunch and then we will enjoy a special sunset at the mystical Valle de la Luna.

Day 3 San Pedro/ Laguna Miñique/ Laguna lejia

Early in the morning we will move to Laguna Miñiques where we will make a trek going around the Laguna Miscanti to go to our camp in Laguna Lejia. ( 4250 m)

Day 4 Laguna Lejia/ Lascar Volcano / Laguna Lejia

An early alpine will start and light the breakfast to begin our summit day to the active Lascar Volcano at 5562m. then we will return to Laguna Lejia

Day 5 Laguna Lejia/ Base Camp

We will go into the heart of the driest dessert in the world, crossing some lakes and salt flats to finally reach our base camp at 4600m.

Day 6 Base Camp / Camp 1

We will take things easy because this place it is well known for producing air sickness so we will walk only 500m up to our second camp where we will have only the dessert and a clear and starry sky as company.

Day 7 Camp 1 / Camp 2/ Camp 1

Again this is a quiet day to get used to the height, we will carry our load to our camp at 5600m. and then we will return to camp 1

Day 8 Rest Day

Resting day at camp one, to hydrate, acclimatize to and reorganize loads.

Day 9 Camp 1/ Camp 2

We will move to camp 2 to establish our camp and prepare ourselves for an early morning summit attempt.

Day 10 Camp 2/ Summit / Camp 2

At dawn we will be in our way to the summit along with a strip of snow, a few meters before the summit we will find large volcanic rocks that take us back in time. At the summit we can see Inca constructions and wood taken to the summit by these people at about 500 years ago. After enjoying the amazing view from the top, we will return to camp 2 to eat and celebrate the chance of being at this sacred place full of history.
