We have chosen this relatively unknown route to cross from Chile to Argentina through the Andes range because is a wild and beautiful land where you will meet settlers living all year around as their forefathers did 100 year ago; indigenous rock paintings that not too many people have seen; several river crossings; hanging bridges; mountain passes, lakes and old native rainforests.
The only way to get to this place is by horses or by foot; we will sleep in the houses of local people, listen to their stories and buy their 100% organic food.

Day by Day
Day 1 Puerto Varas / Steffen
We drive from Puerto Varas to El Manso Valley: in our way we will have nice views of Osono, Calbuco and Yate Volcanoes, drive by the Ocean in a scenic road, cross the Tagua Tagua Lake in a ferry and keep driving until we reach El Manso River where .Here we will meet the local arriero and his horses. This day we will ride for 4 hours to get to Steffen where we will have a nice lamb barbecue and spend the night in the forest. BL-D
Day 2 Steffen / Torrentoso
Early in the morning we ride to Torrentoso River where we will hike to see the indigenous rock paintings made by Mapuche people 600 years ago. Then we will ride to get to the north side of the Vidal Gormaz Lake and share the rest of the day with a local family. We will have a nice dinner and vegetarian food with plenty of locally grown vegetables. B-BL-D
Day 3 Vidal Gormaz Lake / Paso El Leon
We will go deeper into the Andean range and ride next to an Andean lake in a mountain pass with fantastic views and finally reach El Leon Valley. Here we turn southwards until we reach the border to cross to Argentina, where a private transfer will be waiting for us and drive us to Bariloche. B-BL
