What is the weather like in Chile?
Chile is a long narrow country with the Andes and the Pacific all along the territory. This means that there are different types of weather, depending on where we are. Climate change can thus be very strong even within a few kilometers: the dry desert, the high lands, Mediterranean weather, the Mediterranean-cold rain forest transitional weather, the Patagonian steppe, the Lenga forests and the ice fields, south of 40º latitude.
The weather in Patagonia can be highly unpredictable or less predictable than in Europe or North America.
Our high season goes from October 1st to March 31st and we can expect temperatures from 15 to 25 during the whole day or even higher, specially during the summer but during low season temperatures range from 8ºC to 20ºC.

When visiting the Andes, the ocean or the Patagonia, you must be prepared for all kinds of weather, any time of the year. We may have snow in the middle of summer or hot days with temperatures above 32ºC. It is important to have the personal equipment we recommend since it will keep you comfortable in any weather.  See personal equipment.

What kind of electricity is used in Chile?
In Chile electricity is 220 v. and plugs are different than those used in USA, Europe, Australia and Japan. You can buy special appliances to adapt your electric devices in special shops in Santiago or any other city in the country.

Where can I exchange money?
There are many money exchange offices at airports, cities and tourist centers. You can also use credit cards in most shops and restaurants but you need to take enough cash when visiting small villages. Traveler’s cheques are not well received and interests must be paid when exchanging them so we suggest using credit cards and cash.

How can I book trip?
It’s quite simple, just follow the instructions on “reservations” or contact our offices in Chile. see Contact.

Will I have access to internet?
Yes, Chile has good access to internet almost all along the country and the cost is only 1 or 2 dollars per hour nevertheless, it might be a bit difficult to find this service in remote villages. We suggest that during our trips you leave internet and the rest of the world behind to enjoy the moment and the nice places we visit.
